Advocate Vineet Jindal has complained to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry about the lead actors for Pathaan for making an “objectional video.”
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone‘s Pathaan has been the subject of a complaint. Controversies have beset the movie. The first song, “Besharam Rang,” continues to garner attention and polarizing responses regarding Deepika Padukone’s clothing choices. During the ‘Besharam Rang’ controversy, Supreme Court advocate Vineet Jindal has filed a complaint with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry against the lead actors for “objectional video.”
The purpose of the complaint is to prevent Pathaan from being released until the “correctness of objectionable song” is determined. News18 reports that the complainant wrote in the letter, “This song is being vulgar and obscene, and against Hindu sentiments, because Deepika is wearing a saffron bikini and sarong while performing on a song called Besharam Rang (unashamed color) with Shah Rukh Khan.” “Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by performing an obscene dance on ‘Beshram Rang’ from the movie Pathaan.

The complaint also stated, “This deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of Hindu community through vulgar visual and verbal representation via the video song well circulated in social media and all public platforms is an offence under section 295A,298, 505, 67 IT Act and 34 IPC and therefore penal action should be taken against Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan and others,” and it was addressed to the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur. Additionally, it is requested that the video be immediately removed from the internet due to the defamatory effects and outrage it would cause Hindus due to its disparagement of their religious beliefs.”
Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), demanded that the movie be boycotted and banned earlier this week. In “Besharam Rang,” he criticized Deepika Padukone’s outfits.
A mahant of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi, Raju Das, issued a call for people to set fire to movie theaters in another incident. Additionally, he asserted that this has offended religious sentiments. This comes after Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam stated that the film that insults Hindutva will not be tolerated and Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra raised concerns regarding the offensive costumes in “Besharam Rang.”
Shah Rukh Khan addressed the hate bandwagon at the inaugural of the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival a day ago. The actor stated, “Social media shapes the collective narrative of our time.” I believe that cinema has an even more significant role to play now, despite the belief that social media will have a negative impact on the medium.

“Social media is frequently driven by a certain narrowness of view that limits human nature to its baser self,” SRK continued. Negativity has been linked to an increase in social media use and, as a result, its commercial value, according to some source. The collective narrative is encircled by such pursuits, creating division and destruction.
He added, “We haven’t had the option to meet for some time, yet the world is becoming ordinary at this point. We are all content, but I am the most content. In addition, I declare unreservedly that “me, you, and all positive people in the world are alive no matter what the world does.”
Pathaan stars the country’s biggest stars, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Shah Rukh Khan, and is set in Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe. The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on January 25, 2023.
