Mukesh Khanna criticizes the Censor Board for allowing the song “Besharam Rang” to be played in India and describes the song as “vulgar.”
After the song “Besharam Rang” came out, Pathaan received a lot of criticism for using the color saffron for a bikini and for Deepika Padukone’s gyrating moves in the dance number. The glamorous song, which features the Piku actress and superstar Shah Rukh Khan and was shot in picturesque Spain locations, has received harsh criticism from politicians and religious groups, with some even requesting that the film not be released. Shaktimaan actor and television personality Mukesh Khanna has now joined the protests, describing the song as “provocative” and “vulgar.”
Mukesh Khanna shared his thoughts on the Pathaan song “Besharam Rang” with ABP News: “I think our film industry has gone haywire.” Vulgarity is at issue here; It has nothing to do with any religious issue at all. There is no such thing as the Supreme Court. They inform me of prominent individuals, but how can they not be aware of the numerous attacks on the Hindu religion?
He added, “The issue at hand is that of vulgarity,” and he claimed that the censor board had been lenient with the song. Our nation is not like Sweden, Spain, or any other nation that allows everything. You had the audacity to bring people in such minimal attire; the next step will be to bring them without clothing!
The censor board’s job is to make sure that movies don’t hurt anyone’s feelings or beliefs. Films that encourage or lead young people astray must not be approved by the censor. This song can confuse youth rather than mislead them. This is a movie, not a song made for the OTT. How could the censor allow it to pass? Did they not notice the provocative clothing?
Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan stars Shah Rukh Khan as the title character, Deepika Padukone as his lead actress, and John Abraham as the antagonist. On January 25, the YRF movie is expected to come out.
